A new holiday attraction is set to open in downtown Emporia later this year in time for the winter season. The ice rink, named the ESB Financial Holiday Plaza, comes courtesy of the Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce and Visit Emporia.
“Bringing this kind of winter experience to downtown Emporia is a major win for the community,” said Christian Keisler, interim CEO Chamber of Commerce. “It gives families, businesses, and visitors a fun and festive reason to come downtown and celebrate the holiday season together.”
Locals can find the 60×40-foot ice skating rink at 923 Commercial Street in Emporia. It will also be surrounded by decorations, food trucks and feature events.
The ESB Financial Holiday Plaza officially opens on Nov. 20 and will remain open throughout the season which ends in January 2026. You can learn more about what the ice skating rink has to offer by calling the Emporia Chamber Area of Commerce at 620-342-1600 or by clicking here.
