Razorback DB Larry Worth III nominated for Burlsworth Trophy
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Razorback defensive back Larry Worth III has been nominated for the Burlsworth Trophy, an award given annually for the best college football player who began their career as a walk-on.
Worth was among 79 nominees for the honor, each coming from a different FBS school.
The senior out of Jacksonville, Fla., has 50 tackles through the first nine games of the season, good for third on the team. He had a season-high nine tackles in the loss to Memphis in September. Worth started his career at Jacksonville State.
The three finalists named will be at the Burlsworth Trophy Awards Show at the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art on Dec. 8, where the 2025 winner will be announced.
If Worth were to win the award, he would be the second Razorback to win after linebacker Grant Morgan was crowned in 2021.
