HAMMOND, La. (WGNO) — A man was arrested Wednesday, Nov. 5 in connection with a narcotics investigation.
According to the Hammond Police Department, 37-year-old Roy “Rory” Metz of Ponchatoula, was allegedly distributing green fentanyl in Hammond and Ponchatoula. Police say during the arrest, Metz threw 35 grams of suspected Fentanyl from his vehicle while fleeing police, which was later located.
HPD said a search of houses allegedly used by Metz found money, a stolen off-road vehicle, a loaded handgun, small amounts of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Metz was booked into the Hammond City Jail.
