Hundreds of medical personnel working for Allina Health are on a one-day strike on Wednesday.

The union believes that this is the largest strike of its kind in the U.S. It is asking for more safety measures on the job and better sick leave.
Workers will be picketing and rallying on Wednesday.
In a statement, Allina Health said it is “disappointed that some of our clinic providers are choosing to engage in a one-day strike and stepping away from caring for their patients.” It added that it’s committed to continuing to provide “safe, high-quality care” while workers are striking. This includes working with 25% of workers represented by the union who are not striking.
