Thanksgiving feast in a New Orleans poor boy

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — It’s a feast in a single sandwich.

The entire Thanksgiving buffet is stuffed into a New Orleans poor boy.

It’s on the menu, Wednesdays in November, according to WGNO Good Morning New Orleans features reporter Bill Wood.

Created by Parkway Bakery & Tavern general manager Justin Kennedy, it’s a tradition now at Parkway, which has been in business since 1911.

With the sale of every poor boy, the money goes to the Al Copeland Foundation, dedicated to saving lives and ending cancer.

The ticket to have a good meal for a good cause gets you to the front of the long line which always lines up around Parkway when the once-a-year poor boy appears on the menu.

Giving thanks and giving back.

Of course, it’s a New Orleans poor boy that guarantees gratitude with every bite.
