The wildlife-watching event will take place at the Nash Wash Wildlife Management Area in east-central Utah on Saturday, Nov. 15 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
At the watch, attendees will caravan down to the Nash Wash WMA to watch and learn about mule deer behavior. The DWR shared that guests might also see turkeys, chukars or a black bear.
“The Nash Wash WMA provides crucial winter range habitat for deer as they prepare for winter, and it is also home to other wildlife species. While visitors will likely have a fairly close view of the deer,” DWR Regional Outreach Manager Brandon Behling said.
Participants are asked to bring binoculars or a spotting scope, a camera, water, warm clothes and snacks to the event. There are no restroom facilities in the area and cell coverage will be limited.
The event is free but limited to 75 people. Reservations can be made on Eventbrite.
