Police have arrested a suspect in connection to an early-morning homicide in Hibbing over the weekend.
The Hibbing Police Department said at 2:16 a.m., officers were called to Meadowview Apartments, where gunfire was reportedly heard in the parking lot.
When they arrived, officers found an injured man in the parking lot who had been shot multiple times in the chest. The man was later declared dead at the scene.
Hibbing police later identified the victim as 24-year-old Parker Charles Johnson.
Sunday afternoon, police and the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension identified a male suspect and arrested him. Police haven’t yet released that person’s name but said he is cooperating.
No formal charges had been filed as of Monday morning.
Anyone who has information on this shooting is still asked to call 911.
