Manufacturer to shut down, leaving nearly 300 jobless
New Jersey-based Mannington Mills has announced plans to close its flooring manufacturing plant in McAdenville on December 27, 2025, according to a notice recently filed with the North Carolina Department of Commerce.
The shutdown will permanently eliminate 296 jobs, the company said in its filing under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN).
The layoffs will affect employees at the company’s Saxony Drive facility, which produces a range of flooring materials.
