Arkansas women arrested for drug smuggling at Grant Parish prison

COLFAX, La. (WNTZ) – The Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested two Arkansas women accused of attempting to smuggle drugs into the federal prison in Grant Parish.

According to Sheriff Steven McCain, Delana Smith, 49, and Sabrina Pattengale, 54, both of Arkansas, were taken into custody following an investigation into the alleged smuggling attempt.

Smith was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, distribution of marijuana, and taking contraband into a penal institution. Pattengale was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, and taking contraband into a penal institution.

The case remains under investigation by the Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office.
