Video: Walgreens employee allegedly attacked over ID request, police search for suspect

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit of the Shreveport Police Department are requesting assistance from the public to identify a man involved in a violent incident at a local Walgreens.

The incident occurred on May 25, 2025, in the 300 block of Southfield Road.

According to police, the suspect confronted a cashier after being asked to provide an ID for an alcohol purchase.

The situation quickly escalated when the suspect jumped behind the counter and physically assaulted the employee, striking them multiple times and causing several injuries.

Authorities have made efforts to identify the suspect but have yet to make any progress.

A video of the altercation has been posted on the Shreveport Police Department’s Facebook page, which may provide further clues.
