The fair will take place at the Louisiana State Fairgrounds from October 31 to November 16. The fair will be open on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and again on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The fair will feature approximately 60 rides, including a new Ferris wheel brought from Turkey and being used in the U.S. for the first time.
This year’s fair will feature over 100 food vendors. The fair has gained global recognition for its food, with food channels featuring vendors on their networks over the years. The food will be served well while guests watch the many shows and bands available.
From now through the fair’s conclusion, guests will enjoy nearly 30 live band performances, lumberjack shows, livestock shows, thrill shows, the circus, and the zoo. All shows are free with admission into the Fair Grounds.
Admission is free before 3 pm on Thursday, October 30, and Friday, October 31. Admission will be only $5 on Thursday after 3 pm.
