BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Three people were arrested after a traffic stop led to a chase and drug bust in Baton Rouge earlier this week.

According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, the incident happened around 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28, near Shay Avenue and Marque Ann Drive. Officers attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation.

Police said the driver refused to stop, sparking a short vehicle and foot pursuit. All three people inside the vehicle were eventually taken into custody.

Officers said they found several pounds of marijuana, a firearm, and video equipment. BRPD said they executed a search warrant at a vacant home believed to have been used as a stash house for selling and storing drugs.

Police said Treavon Lowery, 24, was wanted on warrants for resisting an officer, possession of Schedule I drugs, and illegal carrying of a firearm with controlled dangerous substances.

Jamell Saylor, 27, was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a firearm with controlled dangerous substances, aggravated flight, resisting an officer, and obstruction.

Isaiah Combs, 30, was charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a firearm with controlled dangerous substances, aggravated flight, resisting an officer, and obstruction.
