According to information from the Searcy County Sheriff’s Office, the school resource officer contacted the sheriff’s office about the abuse Tuesday. The Arkansas State Police Crimes Against Children Division was brought in to assist with the interview of the victim.
The boy told investigators Hilton grabbed him by the throat, picked him up off the floor and thrown him onto the bed. The boy had visible red marks on the side of his head and face and marks or bruising on his throat. When he was asked if he could breathe during this, the victim said no.
While speaking to investigators, Hilton admitted to “choke-slamming” the victim several times. He also said he was worried about the injuries he caused to the victim.
Hilton is charged with felony counts of aggravated assault; second degree domestic battering; and first degree endangering the welfare of a minor, creating substantial risk of death or serious physical injury of someone under the age of 10. He is being held in the Searcy County Jail.
