The fire happened around 10:13 p.m. on October 28, 2025, in the 100 block of Miller Road in Doyline. Webster Parish Fire District 3 responded and found a 66-year-old deceased victim.
Investigators are unsure if smoke detectors were installed and are working to determine the cause of the fire.
“Smoke alarms save lives,” said Chief Adams. “If you don’t have one or need assistance with installation, our Operation Save-A-Life program offers free smoke alarms and installation services.”
