ST. MARTINVILLE, La. (KLFY) — An Arnaudville man has been arrested in connection with a homicide in January, authorities said.
Durell Edmond, 39, of Arnaudville, is charged with one count of first degree murder.
Deputies with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office responded Jan. 4 to a call from a passing motorist regarding a body that was found in a wooded area in the 2200 block of Bushville Hwy. in Cecilia.
Deputies found Ryan Charles, 32, Arnaudville, dead with several gunshot wounds. Charles had been reported missing by family members the day before.

Investigators secured and executed an arrest warrant for Edmond on Thursday. He was booked into the St. Martin Parish jail. Bond details were not released.
