Water outage causes one day closure at Mooringsport Elementary School

According to the school’s Facebook page, the facility is awaiting repairs to a broken water main.

The Director of Strategy and Communication, Mary Nash-Wood, sent out an email late Wednesday afternoon regarding the sudden closure.

As of now, the school plans to continue normal schedules by the end of this week.

Nash-Wood shares, “Normal operations are expected to resume Friday, pending confirmation that water service has been fully restored.”
