Salt Lake City International Airport opens more gates and concessions

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — The Salt Lake City International Airport held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday morning to mark the opening of new gates and concessions.

The airport has opened 10 new gates, six additional concessions, and a new lounge.

These additions are all a part of ‘The New SLC’ redevelopment program.

The new gates will house arrivals and departures for Delta and Southwest Airlines.

New concessions include local favorites like Aubergine Kitchen, Moab Brewery and Good Earth Market, plus Art of Aesthetics, Hudson and Utah National Parks.

The expansion also includes the American Express Centurion Lounge. There, guests can experience a relaxing scene complete with food, drinks, an outdoor terrace and so much more.

Additionally, concourse B now has another Sensory Room — the airport’s third.

‘The New SLC’

‘The New SLC’ redevelopment program broke ground in July 2014. Phase one opened in September 2020. Phase two opened in October 2023. Phase three opened in October 2024. The program has cost $5.1 billion.

The final 11 gates and concessions will be available October 2026, with a total of 101 eateries and 94 aircraft gates.
