Man charged with shooting vehicle recovery worker in Jackson

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police announced a 22-year-old man was arrested after he shot another man who was attempting to recover a vehicle.

Linell Brown, Jr., was arrested on October 27, 2025, and charged with aggravated assault and felon in possession of a firearm.

On July 31, 2025, police said Brown shot a man who was attempting to recover a vehicle in the area of TV Road and Gertrude Drive.

Brown appeared in court on October 28, 2025, and received a $250,000 bond.
