UPDATE (10/27/2025): Indiana State Police have canceled the Silver Alert they issued for 79-year-old Dean Miller. The agency investigating his disappearance — the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department — reported that Miller has been located and is safe.

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. — A Silver Alert has been issued for a man reported missing from Kosciusko County.

The Kosciusko Sheriff’s Office is searching for 79-year-old Dean Miller, who is described as a 5’10” male weighing 200 pounds with grey hair and blue eyes.

He was last reported in the town of Claypool to be wearing a camouflage baseball cap, grey sweatshirt and tan cargo pants. Authorities believe he was driving a green and tan 1997 Chevrolet Silverado Z71 with Indiana plate TZQ635 before he went missing. Miller was last seen on Oct. 26 at 1:30 p.m.
