Folsom woman dies in St. Tammany Parish crash

FOLSOM, La. (WGNO) — Louisiana State Police troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash that killed a woman on Oct. 27, according to the LSP.

Around 6:25 p.m., troopers with LSP Troop L arrived on the scene of a two-vehicle crash on LA Highway 25 near Sweet Olive Lane in St. Tammany Parish. In the crash, 39-year-old Rachel Bitter was killed.

According to the LSP, the investigation showed that a 2015 Ford E250 van was going southbound on LA Highway 25 while Bitter was traveling northbound in a 2013 Cadillac ATS. The Ford reportedly crossed into the northbound lane and struck the front side of Bitter’s vehicle.

Due to her serious injuries, Bitter was taken to a local hospital, where she later died. The driver of the Ford had minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene, according to the LSP.
