shot two people inside the house and barricaded himself inside with his 6-year-old son. While deputies were attempting to get inside, Washington reportedly fired his weapon, forcing the deputies to retreat and engage in a stand-off.

Washington eventually came out with his son, armed with a handgun. He was taken into custody, and deputies entered the house. Inside they found Anita Jacobs, Washington’s mother, dead from a gunshot wound to her head. Washington’s stepfather was found with a non-lethal gunshot wound. He was treated at a local hospital.
