NATCHITOCHES, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – 19 area high school bands will compete in the 36th Annual Classic on the Cane Marching Contest.
Participating bands include:

- Buckeye
- Central
- Comeaux
- Delcambre
- El Dorado (Ark.)
- Haughton
- Lafayette
- Many
- Natchitoches Central
- Neville
- North DeSoto
- Ouchita Parish
- Parkway
- Pine Prairie
- Southside
- West Monroe
The contest will be held on Saturday, Nov. 1, at 9:30 a.m. at Turpin Stadium, 450 Caspari Street in Natchitoches. The Spirit of Northwestern Marching Band will perform at 4:15 p.m. before the awards ceremony at 4:30 p.m.
