Rockford man and teens arrested after fleeing police, handguns found

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — A Rockford man and three teens were arrested Sunday after they allegedly ran from police during a traffic stop, and handguns were found.

According to the Rockford Police Department, officers attempted to stop a suspicious vehicle around 7:25 p.m. near Elmwood and Garfield, but said the driver refused and drove away.

The car was later located in a driveway in the 1300 block of North Avenue. Four suspects ran from the car, police said, but officers were able to chase down and arrest two of them.
