Shreveport police search for driver in deadly hit-and-run

The incident happened on October 20 in the 3300 block of Greenwood Road. When officers arrived on scene, they found the victim, identified as Dwayne Kinchen, lying unresponsive in the roadway. Kinchen was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

According to the SPD, a witness reported that Kinchen was seated in the middle of the eastbound travel lane when a white pickup truck traveling in the same direction struck him and fled the scene.

Investigators are working to identify the driver involved. Anyone with information about the vehicle involved or the driver should contact the Shreveport Police Department immediately.
