Louisiana troopers want help to identify driver involved in deadly hit-and-run

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Louisiana State Police investigators seek help from the public to identify the driver of a car involved in a hit-and-run that killed a 71-year-old.

James Rasberry, of Hodge in Jackson Parish, was killed after being hit by a car while walking along Louisiana Highway 67 in East Baton Rouge Parish. Troopers said the car involved fled the scene.

Detectives believe that the suspect vehicle is a 2019 or newer Nissan Altima with damage to its right front bumper area, including the headlight and side mirror. Anyone with information about the crash is urged to contact Troop A at 225-754-8500.
