Fire destroys Jackson home, arson suspected

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson firefighters are investigating after a fire destroyed a home.

The fire occurred in the 1700 block of Lincoln Avenue just before 10:45 a.m. on October 24, 2025.

According to Division Fire Chief Charles Felton, crews could not determine the origin or cause of the fire, and a fire investigator was requested at the scene.

Felton said investigators received information that there was a domestic disturbance before the fire occurred. He said the fire was classified as arson.

No arrest has been made at this time.
