JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Two Jackson firefighters were injured while responded to a fire early Monday morning.

The fire occurred at a building in the 1300 block of Ellis Avenue just before 4:45 a.m. on September 15, 2025.

Division Fire Chief Charles Felton, Jr., said two firefighters sustained first-degree burns. They were both transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) for treatment, and they’re expected to make a full recovery.
