Clear skies for Friday; Rain chances ramp up this weekend

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL)- Happy Thursday! It has been a picture perfect day.

Friday: We have great weather tomorrow for our high school football games! Get ready for clear skies and readings in the upper 70s. Some areas may see the lower 80s before the afternoon is over.

Weekend: The weekend will start of great with just passing clouds and temperatures in the upper 70s (lows in the 40s). Starting Sunday, we are tracking our next chance for rain. Isolated showers and storms will be possible that evening.

Next Week: The best chance for rain will continue through Monday. Readings will sit in the lower 70s, with lows in the upper 50s. While rain chances back off, there will still be a possibility of stray showers until the middle of next week.

Our temperatures will cool off significantly by midweek. Highs will sit in the upper 60s by Wednesday. Morning readings will be in the upper 40s/low 50s.
