Convicted felon caught with loaded gun, narcotics: SJPD

(KRON) — Police said a convicted felon with a “violent history” was taken into custody last week following a probe of street drug sales in downtown San Jose.

San Jose police said a search warrant led to the recovery of “various illegal narcotics and one loaded unregistered firearm.”

The total street value of the seized narcotics was not disclosed.

KRON4 reached out to police for more details on the suspect and their alleged history of violence but did not hear back in time for this report.

“Our Special Operations Division remains unwavering in their commitment to protecting our community,” said San Jose police in a social media post. “This operation is just one example of our ongoing efforts to make downtown safer for everyone and demonstrates the kind of dedication that drives real change.”
