Tuesday Weather: AM rain & PM sunshine
Tuesday temperatures: Temperatures on Tuesday morning will begin much warmer than they were on Monday morning. Lows will likely range from the mid to upper 50s north to the low to middle 60s south. Daytime highs on Tuesday afternoon will not be as warm and should be close to normal. Expect highs in the 70s and lower 80s.
AM rain & PM Sunshine: Futurecast shows clouds increasing over the ArkLaTex on Monday night as the cold front moves into the area. The front will likely produce a narrow band of showers that will quickly move from north to south through the area. This rain will likely end Monday morning over the southern half of the area. Clouds will quickly decrease from north to south as sunshine returns. We will then see several days of dry weather that could last through most of Friday.
Long-range outlook: Our next best chance of needed rain will come early this weekend. Showers and a few thunderstorms will increase across the area on Friday night. They will reach their peak on Saturday, and then linger into the beginning of next week. Several inches of rain will be possible. Sunshine should return by the middle of next week.
Temperatures will stay above normal this week with daytime highs mainly in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Overnight lows will cool into the 50s for several nights and then warm into the 60s by the weekend. Much cooler temperatures should ease into the area by the middle of next week. We will see highs retreat to the upper 60s to the lower 70s. Lows will chill into the 40s! Severe weather is currently looking unlikely during the next week to ten days.
