Evergy is reporting that around 1,700 of its customers are out of power as of 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 21 in an area in southwest Topeka. This area includes homes and businesses near Southwest Fairlawn Road and Southwest 21st Street.
Evergy reports power should be restored by 12:45 p.m. on Oct. 21. The cause of the outage has yet to be identified.
