Portland Pilots’ midfielder receives invite to U-20 National Team training camp

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Portland women’s soccer midfielder Nevaeh Peregrina was officially called up to the U.S. U-20 Women’s National Team Training Camp on Tuesday.

The sophomore from Ogden, Utah, is one of only 24 athletes to be invited to Kansas City for the camp under new U-20 head coach Vicky Jepson.

Peregrina has started 13 games for the Pilots so far this season. Only 10 college players were invited to the camp.

University of Portland has had 12 players represent their respective countries, with seven of them being the USA.
