According to officials with the Indiana Department of Transportation, the northbound and southbound lanes are closed south of the 245 mile-marker on I-69 because of a crash. Officials said that this incident is a “confirmed intrapment involving a semi” and lifeline is enroute.
Officials with the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office said the southbound lanes will remain closed until the crash investigation is complete.
“Expect significant delays and use alternatre routes if possible,” officials with the office said in a post on social media. “We’ll provide updates as soon as the roadway is reopened.”
INDOT officials said that traffic is being diverted off at State Road 28, the 245-mile-marker.
At 2:46 p.m. on Monday, INDOT officials said that all lanes are now open.
