2nd suspect arrested in connection to double shooting in north Abilene
Andrew Diego Gomez, 18, was taken into custody for Aggravated Assault and Evading Arrest Sunday. He’s one of two suspects accused of a shooting at a home on the 500 block of Cockerell Street October 11.
Police say officers were called to the scene and found two adult victims suffering from gunshot wounds. They were hospitalized to receive treatment for serious injuries.
One suspect, a juvenile, was arrested during the initial investigation. Gomez was later identified and arrested. Additional suspects could face charges as well.
No further information is available at this time, but investigators say they don’t believe this was a random act of violence.
