First, gather the family for spooky fun with various Halloween activities at the New Orleans Public Library. Children and families are invited for storytelling, arts and crafts and costume contests, including tomorrow at the Mid-City branch.
Next, Praise Fest on the Bayou returns to Bayou St. John with three days of gospel music, community relations, and family fun from Oct. 17-19. This free event features uplifting worship by Pastor Tyrone Jefferson and others, food vendors and interactive activities for all ages.
On Saturday morning, Oct. 18, at the Shrine on Airline, join the Walk to End Alzheimer’s to raise awareness for research and education. Participants will come together for a Promise Garden Ceremony, followed by the walk; funds raised support the Alzheimer’s Association’s vital programs.
Finally, the Acadia Music Fest on Saturday night, Oct. 18, brings big sounds to Thibodaux at the Acadia Plantation Town Center with a lineup including T.I., John Morgan, and Dumpstaphunk. This outdoor celebration also includes food trucks, kids’ activities and more.
