The competition is part of the health network’s expansion into robotics, and organizers are encouraging participants to consider that the robot’s voice is female when submitting names.
The deadline for name submissions is October 22nd, and a final vote for the top five names will run until October 29th.
The winner of the competition will receive a gift basket from OSF.
“At OSF Saint Anthony we are always looking at ways to best serve our patients and one of those is through state-of-the-art robotic technology,” says Sharon Bagalio, director of Surgical Services at OSF Saint Anthony. “A majority of our surgeons across multiple specialties are trained on various robotic consoles, which ultimately leads to faster recoveries and better outcomes for our patients. We have some exciting robotic expansions coming up that we are thrilled to offer to our surgeons and ultimately our communities.”
