Witnesses say speeding motorcycle slams into back of car in Abilene, rider seriously injured
Police at the scene of the crash on N 10th Street and Kenwood Drive say witnesses reported seeing the motorcyclist speeding east down N 10th Street just after 1:30 p.m.
He then slammed into the back of a car that was likely turning onto Kenwood Drive, causing his bike to slide underneath.
The rider of the motorcycle sustained serious injures and was rushed to the hospital from the scene. He was the only person injured in the crash.
No further information is available at this time, but the investigation is still ongoing.
Traffic is blocked in the eastbound lanes of N 10th Street while crews work to clear the scene.
