Since its launch just over a year ago, Positively Charlotte has celebrated the best people,
places, and stories from Charlotte, the South, and beyond. Airing weekdays at 10 a.m. on
Queen City News (WJZY-TV, Charlotte’s FOX affiliate), the show is executive-produced by
Quarles, who also co-hosts alongside Mahachek.
“Best of the Queen City” will spotlight standout local businesses, hidden gems, and
can’t-miss activities that define Charlotte’s unique charm. But at its heart, the special is a
celebration of the community — and the hosts who bring it to life.
“I am incredibly proud of the work our team has done in building this show,” says Quarles.
“During our first year, we’ve secured A-list interviews, shined a spotlight on countless local
businesses, formed partnerships to tell a variety of stories, and helped nonprofits amplify
their impact. Most importantly, we get to show the beautiful people and things happening
in our community that make Charlotte and the Carolinas so special.”
As the show continues to grow, its guest list has included a range of notable names —
from Dawn Staley and DaBaby to Meghan Trainor, Fat Joe, Andie MacDowell, JeP Gordon, Mark Harmon, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Bryce Young, Brooklyn Decker, Sheryl Underwood, and James Austin Johnson.
Tune in for a joyful, inspiring look at the Queen City through the lens of the people who
know it best.
Watch live on Queen City News (WJZY-TV) at 7 p.m., or stream on Queen City News+ for Roku, Amazon FireTV, and Apple TV.
