Man killed in northwest Charlotte shooting: CMPD

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A man lost his life Tuesday night after a shooting in the Thomasboro-Hoskins community, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD).

Around 10:46 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 14, officers were called to a shooting on North Crigler Street. This is between Rozzells Ferry Road and Brookshire Boulevard, close to Interstate 85.

Officers arrived to find a man shot. He was taken to Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center with life-threatening injuries but later passed away at the hospital.

Authorities have not said what led up to the shooting or if anyone has been arrested. A homicide investigation is underway.
