Celebrate 35 years of Hubble with Shreveport Astronomy Society
From 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., attendees can look through telescopes at Saturn and its large moon Titan, numerous galaxies, star clusters, double stars, nebulae, and more.
If the sky is clouded out or raining, the session will be canceled.
The Shreveport Observatory is eight miles south of the LSU Shreveport campus on Astronomical Way.
The Shreveport-Bossier Astronomical Society is also raffling off a Seestar S-30 Digital Smart Telescope to raise funds for the observatory. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the star party or from ShreveportAstronomy.com.
