HEIDELBERG, Miss. (WHLT) – An additional suspect was arrested in connection to the fatal shooting at Heidelberg High School’s homecoming game on October 10, 2025.

Authorities said Jaylen Gammage, 19, was arrested on October 15, 2025, and charged with accessory after the fact and tampering with physical evidence.

The arrest comes after a third person died in connection to the fatal shooting. Heidelberg police said the victims were identified as Christopher Newell, Mikea McCray and Cayus Stevens. Police said Stevens died from a non-gun-related injury.

Police said the following suspects were arrested and charged in connection to the shooting:

  • Tylar Goodloe, 18 – Charged with two counts of capital murder and possession of a deadly weapon on an educational property
  • Jabari Collins, 19 – Charged with possession of a deadly weapon on an educational property
  • Jadarius Page, 19 – Charged with accessory after the fact
  • Damarin Starks, 19 – Charged with accessory after the fact and tampering with physical evidence

Bailey Martin, spokesperson for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (MDPS), said the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI) is assisting in the investigation.

Officials with the West Jasper School District announced the upcoming football game scheduled for October 17, 2025, at Heidelberg High School was canceled due to ongoing safety concerns following the fatal shooting.
