SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — A water main break in Millcreek could be causing delays through tomorrow morning.
According to a post from the Salt Lake City Department of Public Utilities (SLCPU), the water main break is on 3300 South, between 1100 East and 1300 East. SLCPU handles water for that part of Millcreek City.
The westbound lanes on 3300 S are closed while crews work on repairs. SLCPU initially estimated that they would take eight hours, but the repair was more complex than originally thought.
SLCPU says the westbound lanes will likely remain closed through tomorrow’s morning commute. The city asks that drivers in the area exercise caution and follow posted signs.
Locals may be experiencing low to no water pressure until the repairs are completed.
