Urban South Brewery: Cheers, beers and chamber music
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — If there’s any way to say cheers to chamber music, you figure New Orleans would know how to do it.

WGNO Good Morning New Orleans features reporter Bill Wood has found the place to make it happen.

It’s Urban South Brewery.

The music is from the Crescent City Chamber Music Festival.

With more than seven free concerts around town, the festival now celebrates a decade of making great music.

“It started 10 years ago right here at Urban South Brewery, and we hope to see you here, and at all seven of our free public concerts this season,” said Luke Fleming.

Chamber music is a type of classical music, performed originally in the renaissance, originally in palace chambers. That’s where the name comes from.

“Chamber music was written to be enjoyed in intimate social setting and Mozart was kind of a party animal,” said Siwoo Kim.

The night for music and beer is Wednesday, Oct. 15, at 7 p.m.
