NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is trying to arrest a suspect in an armed robbery investigation. The case is the latest one to roll on the Wheel of Justice.

According to police, the crime happened on Sept. 30 at the intersection of Port and Royal Streets. Police say the suspect stole a purse, cash and two iPhones.

The suspect is identified as 44-year-old Donnell James Griffith. Police also say they searched his home and found two guns plus ammunition, but they haven’t located Griffith.

According to court records, Griffith has faced prior drug charges in Orleans Parish, but all of the cases were filed at least 15 years ago.

Earlier this month, the NOPD identified Griffith as a top priority in the department’s Front Burner Friday initiative.

If you can help police locate Donnell James Griffith, call CrimeStoppers at 504-822-1111. You don’t have to reveal your name or testify in court, and you could be eligible to earn a cash reward.

So far, more than 485 people have been booked after their cases rolled on the wheel of justice
