Honorary street naming in Pilsen recognizes community supermarket

CHICAGO — An honorary street naming in the Pilsen neighborhood today recognizing a supermarket that has served the community for 60-years.

At the intersection of 22nd and Throop Street, the sign recognizes brothers Gilberto and Ignacio Villasenor.

They are the owners of V & V Supremo, which has been a culinary institution for authentic Mexican dairy and meat products.
