Pazos told DC News Now that three vehicles were involved in the crash; however, one of the vehicles declined evaluation by medics. Of the two other involved vehicles, the car and the truck, four people were treated on the scene, including a child.

The child, who was riding in the truck with a woman and a man, was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to Pazos. Medics also transported the woman to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Meanwhile, officials said responders also took the driver of the car to the hospital for a non-life-threatening trauma injury.

Montgomery County police said southbound Frederick Avenue, also known as Route 355, was shut down between S. Westland and Shady Grove Road as crews worked to clear the scene. At this time, it is unclear what caused the collision.
