JEAN LAFFITE, La. (WGNO) — Republican Yvette Crain has won the Jean Laffite mayoral race against Democrat Wilfred Wyman.
Crain won with 97.97% of the votes, while Wyman received 2.03% of the votes. Crain received 580 votes while Wyman received 12 votes.
According to Jean Lafitte officials, Crain took over as interim mayor after the former mayor Tim Kerner Jr. was elected to the Jefferson Parish Council. According to her Facebook page, Crain studied at Nicholls State University.
