1 killed in I-65 hit-and-run on Indy’s south side

INDIANAPOLIS – An investigation is underway after at least one person was killed in a hit-and-run on Indy’s south side Friday night.

According to the Indiana State Police the crash occurred at the 104.8 mile marker of Interstate 65 near Edgewood Ave.

Investigators say a motorcycle and a separate car were involved in the incident. An Indiana Department of Transportation notification said at least one person died in the crash.

Investigators say they located the striking car, but are still actively looking for the driver.

No other information was released. The incident remains under investigation.
