Body found in Westlake ditch under homicide investigation

LAKE CHARLES, LA. (KLFY) — A body was found earlier today in a ditch in the 200 block of Trousdale Road in Westlake, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office said.

According to deputies, this death is being investigated as a homicide and is in the very preliminary stages of the investigation. 

The identification of the woman has not yet been made and the coroner has yet to determine cause of death, deputies said.

No further details were released.
