Washburn football looking to turn things around after the bye week

TOPEKA (KSNT) – The 1-4 Ichabods are fresh off of a bye week as they head to Pittsburg, Kansas to face the No. 15 Gorillas.

Washburn is still looking for their first conference win of the season. The Gorillas are 4-2 overall and 3-1 in MIAA play after defeating Nebraska-Kearney 23-6 in their last game.

“I think the coaches have done a great job of preparing us this week,” safety Jordan Finnesy told 27 Sports. “And throughout the bye week.”

Kick-off is set for 2 p.m. at Pitt State.
